About the CST

Csaba Szaló

Csaba Szaló, a social theorist and cultural sociologist, is known among students for his passion for complex and seemingly pointless themes. Among Czech and Slovak sociologists, his most known book focused on theories of transnational migration. Recently, he’s been exploring road violence events from an interpretive perspective, combining phenomenology and ethnomethodology. This research builds on his previous work, which delved into the existential spatiality of counter-conduct, the resurgence of nationalism in Central Europe, and the trans-generational transmission of trauma.
