Ondřej Klíma
Ondřej Klíma is a researcher at the Department of Sociology at Masaryk University and the Department of Management at Mendel University in Brno. He specializes in the sociological study of video games and their role in civil society. His research focuses on the concept of the gaming sphere, exploring the cultural, political, and economic meanings of microtransactions in video games and their broader social implications. He also examines key industry controversies—such as the Blitzchung incident and the debate surrounding loot boxes—to understand how digital economies intersect with player agency, regulation, and public discourse.
